Working as a Talent Acquisition Specialist in a value-driven company has been a great experience. My role entails a variety of assignments, and I’m involved with people a lot, which is wonderful as I love collaborating with others.
I landed my dream job when I joined Solita. During my interview process, I was impressed with how well I was being taken care of.
I could describe myself as a Machine Learning Multitasker, as I tend to get involved with many different tasks and projects. At Solita, I’ve been able to expand my role and enjoy the wide variety of assignments.
I’ve been working with technological solutions throughout my whole career and was lucky to join Solita about a year ago as a Data Consultant.
I love the Solita community and the flexibility I have in my role. Since I’m one of the 4 designers so far in our Central European operations, I have plenty of autonomy in my work, and I get to rethink my role and develop people around me.
The culture here is very helpful. It matches well with my motto: colleagues are your most important clients. I like to help people, and I think we should always maintain good relationships with our colleagues.
Constant learning is the thing that makes me thrive at work. If you become too comfortable and stay stagnant in this industry, you actually start going backwards. That’s how quickly the industry develops.
I have a lot of freedom and autonomy in my job, and I can leave my handprint into the solutions I deliver. Freedom is also applicable in other areas. I’ve been able to choose which projects I want to work with and decide the technologies I use. I’ve never had to work with tools that I feel are taking the industry in the wrong direction.
I currently work as a Software Architect. Solita has a wide range of different type of architects. In addition to project work I also do a lot of consultative work and work as a technical expert in sales.
When I started at Solita there was about 100 employees, now we have about 1000 employees. Even though the company has grown a lot, in every day work life there is still the same feeling of a small company because most of the decisions are done at the project team level.
What really motivates me in my job is to learn about the big picture; gain revelations on what makes the business successful and where the value comes from. It inspires me if I can learn more about the world and how business works.
I’ve felt that Solita has a very open culture and warm atmosphere. The collaboration seems to be somewhat effortless.
Helping our clients is the best part of my job. It’s rewarding when we can find a solution that meets the business needs. Of course, it’s also nice to see the end product and how it benefits the client. It’s not only about upgrading tech solutions; often, the whole way of working can change.
There is this atmosphere of trust at Solita – you don’t need to earn it, but you get it from the start. Then it’s up to you if you show up and demonstrate that you are worth the trust.
As a team lead, I contribute to finding new clients and follow up on sales leads. I make sure that my team members are happy and up to date with their skills.
I’ve worked with numerous clients, and I’m glad that I’ve managed to build strong expertise in my field. I can share knowledge with my team members and help them grow. I really like helping and guiding people.
If I think about my day to day work, my team plays an important role. I’m a German myself, and I moved to Copenhagen a year ago when I started this job. It’s a small group of us, but we work so well together, and the team has been very welcoming.
We are all flexible, and we have a lot of freedom in our work. I think we have a really cool team dynamics, we trust each other and share many same values.
I strive to combine design thinking, customer understanding and our clients’ business objectives and craft digital services that truly meet the goals and needs that the client has.
Doing the design part well doesn’t mean that the project becomes never-ending and heavy, instead, it should be seen as a sanity check to ensure that we are focusing on the right things and that the outcome will delight users and solve the right problems. This way, thoughtful design can actually save both time and money.
I like the liberty of managing my own and my team’s work and provide feedback to the customer on the solutions that will be implemented.
I have joined Solita last year as part of Ferrologic and can’t wait to get more involved in the common ventures that are planned.
The best part of my job is interacting with my colleagues and team members. For me people’s wellbeing and that they feel comfortable to be themselves at work is at the core and aim of my job. For example, I really enjoy having coaching session with my team members and taking actions that lead to a better workplace. I also run self leadership coaching sessions to help Solitans succeed in their own (work) life.
I consider myself a generalist and a team player balancing my time and interests between business, technology and people. I love the fact that I utilise my varied skill set every day and when I need to I can always find a Solitan more knowledgeable than me to help me with specific problems.
One of the best things about working at Solita is the trust and freedom employees are given here. And the fact that we mostly work in our own offices with our own teams. That was actually also one of the main reasons I chose to apply to Solita.
I enjoy diving deep into problems that have real world applications and potential to make a lasting effect. I’m a bit of a tinkerer, so coming up with practical and clever solutions to the problems at hand brings me great joy. It has been said, that the world is drowning in data but ever starving for knowledge.
I love that my job is so variable. I can work at the same time in two projects which are totally different – for example my clients might be from very different industries and my role may vary from project management to strategy and concept design.
In my role as a consultant, I help our customers by implementing a customer-centric strategy and the necessary tools to create growth by being more data-driven. I also create these growth opportunities for our own company as I am part of the internal marketing team and responsible for all things related to the German market.
I work in multiple roles and I just love it! I’m leading Solita Health sales here in Northern Finland, I’m also account director for some our wonderful customers and I get to manage the business of our Palveluohjain – the national scheduling solution for social and healthcare.
I like to create something that has value for the customer and users. I like to solve technical challenges and build robust solutions that I can be proud of. Working with more skilled people than yourself is rewarding – thus, I have been working at Solita for 19 years.
I believe in continuous improvement, regardless of whether it’s for a customer, for Solita or myself. It´s about impact that lasts in the long run. So my impactful experience would occur every day, doing something valuable!
I’ve been pleasantly surprised how Solita’s values manifest in practice. Often, values are just advertising slogans and words to keep up appearances. But Solita is a place that lives according to its values. What’s more, it’s been great to witness the autonomy, diversity and versatility of the work we do.
My work is mainly focused on building data platforms for our clients, but occasionally I get involved in sales and recruiting activities, and organising data related events and meetups at our Solita Oulu office.
I like to get my hands dirty. The best kicks at work I get when I’m solving a big, juicy problem. Also seeing and building the whole pipeline, when small bits and pieces of data starts to shape into something that adds real value to the customer, is something I truly enjoy doing.
Currently I’m working on a project for Finrail. In the project we gather data from several different types of sensors to monitor if there are some problems with trains moving on the rails. E.g. if the temperature of the wheel bearing is too hot, there might be something wrong with the train. The system creates an alert in real time for traffic management and they can contact the train to check the situation and maybe set a speed limit for the train until the problem is solved.
I started my career here by joining the Solita Data Academy programme. During the academy period we were introduced to what we do here at Solita when we do data and to the Solita way of working generally. As I am someone just entering the world of consulting, the Academy programme gave me the support I needed to transform my career. A great experience with an awesome bunch of people – I highly recommend it.
My biggest passion...well, work-wise it's to design and implement systems so that I can put my own touch to it from the beginning. Meaning I'm able to guide the customer to choose the best possible architecture and design details for the system. And my other passion, possibly related to the first, is to solve problems. The harder the problem the better. A kick you get from solving a problem that has been mocking you and laughing at you is indescribable.
In my free time, I love bird/nature photography and just trekking in nature. I usually make 1 or 2 longer photography trips during spring or autumn. Ruissalo (in Turku) and Lapland are my favorite destinations.
My job involves pre-sales, data quality, architecture within the area of master data equipping our clients to drive their data driven digital transformation journey with right semantics and consistency of data.
I love the possibility to work with our customers in varied businesses.
I am privileged to work with over 1000 people at Solita, which consists of specialists from data business and services designers to software developers and the internal coaches!
Every time I work with them I think about what I can learn from my colleagues and how I can utilise it in my own daily work. And, they are really surprising me – not only with their professionalism but also as the people they are.
Even though we are a digital company, I have done graphic identities, photoshoots, videos, magazines, interior design etc. It's a very versatile workplace for a graphic designer.
Colleagues are the best! If you do not have the answer, you can very quickly find someone who does. There are a lot of opportunities to learn more all the time. I want to have a better understanding and am super into how to better utilise data in graphic work.
Currently I share my time across customer work and internal development. Customer work at the moment includes reliability engineering, as well as raising monitoring and incident response to the next level.
Diversity and inclusion aren’t matters of opinion. Diverse perspectives make the world a better place and allow us to achieve more.
This is why we’ve established unambiguous, clearly measurable goals for the diversity and inclusion of our Solita community.

When you arrive at Solita, you don’t have to be ready. In our opinion, you never have to be.
Our doors are open for students and graduates who are looking for growth and learning opportunities and want to work in a friendly community.
We love open applications – they don’t go to some mysterious black box never to be seen again.
