Technology, data and design company Solita is expanding its operations in Finland to Vaasa, Joensuu, Jyväskylä and Kuopio. In addition to its previous office locations, the fast-growing company is now looking for experts in software development, data, cloud and integration services in Vaasa, Joensuu, Jyväskylä and Kuopio. Known for both its company culture and location-independent work, Solita is setting up light offices in these towns based on the wishes of its employees.

Solita currently has offices in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku, Oulu and Lahti. In addition to Finland, the company operates in Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Germany and Estonia. In total, Solita employs more than 1,100 technology, data and design experts.

“For experts of the digital world, teamwork is easy even when carried out remotely and more flexible hybrid work is future for us all. Location-independent work has come to stay, but working together and enjoying a community spirit remain important values for Solita employees. That is why we will be listening to our employees’ wishes and setting up Solita Hub light offices in Vaasa, Joensuu, Kuopio and Jyväskylä to supplement our larger offices. These light offices will be like a home base – flexible meeting spaces that support the daily work of employees who have, otherwise, chosen to work remotely,” says Solita Finland’s Terhi Jaakonsaari, Director, People & Culture.

In addition to office locations, Solita has employees in more than 40 towns and cities in Finland and some of them work remotely.

“International projects and our strong investment in the continuous development of know-how also bring more opportunities for the top experts in smaller towns. It has become easier to participate in digital projects flexibly from your own hometown,” comments Timo Honko, Executive Vice President, Solita Finland.

Solita’s customers in Finland include for example DNA, Ponsse, UPM, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare and the Ministry of the Environment.

At present, Solita is also actively seeking Swedish-speaking experts to support data and cloud solutions built for customers in Sweden and elsewhere. The company has continued to grow during the coronavirus pandemic and hired more than 200 experts in six countries last year.
