Secure transition of business-critical systems
To operate efficiently, the Danish Prison and Probation Service uses IT systems tailored for their specific needs, placing high demands on stability, security and further development. After a successful transition phase, Solita now maintains and develops these business-critical systems.
Together we ensure modern, robust and future-proof IT support for the work of the Danish Prison and Probation Service.

The Danish Prison and Probation Service plays a central role in the Danish justice system and is tasked with enforcing the sentences imposed by the courts, both through detention, supervision, and community service. The organisation is dedicated to bringing people safely to a life without crime. This requires both human resources and strong digital solutions.
Today, more than 4,000 employees in the Danish Prison and Probation Service use four specially developed client core systems for case management and information exchange with other authorities. The systems are crucial for the Danish Prison and Probation Service to carry out its work efficiently and correctly, and they place high demands on stability, security, and further development. Solita is responsible for maintaining and developing these business-critical core systems, ensuring smooth and secure operations.
A safe and secure handover
The project began with a thorough transition phase, which was carried out in three stages: clarification phase, transition phase, and transition operation phase. The aim was to ensure that the handover from the previous supplier was carried out without disrupting current operations.
It was important for us to create security in the organisation and help the Danish Prison and Probation Service to continue their work without disruption.

Operation, maintenance, and a look to the future
We now have full responsibility for ongoing support, maintenance, customisation, and further development of the Danish Prison and Probation Service’s core systems. We also advise on relevant technological options and life-extending actions so that the systems can constantly keep up with changing needs and ongoing development.
Although the systems are many years old, the ambition is clear – with respect for the existing foundation, together we will ensure modern, robust, and future-proof IT support for the work of the Danish Prison and Probation Service.
