Technology, data and design company Solita has introduced Solita Industrial – a new competence unit specializing in the needs of industrial companies in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Germany and Estonia. The purpose of the new unit is to help multinational discrete and process manufacturing companies utilize the full potential of their data and digital transformation by leveraging Solita’s expertise in data, cloud, integrations and software development solutions.

The Solita Industrial unit focuses on helping manufacturing industries, covering both discrete and process manufacturing, to leverage data and the latest technologies to establish sustainable and customer-driven competitive advantages. Solita specializes in serving large, multinational companies with its expertise in customer understanding and strategy consulting, software development, cloud and integration services, and data platforms and analytics. The company currently operates in six countries.

In addition to the new Industrial unit, Solita has domain units for experts specializing in Mobility as well as Health and well-being.

“Opportunities driven by digitalisation, data and connectivity, together with sustainability are currently the key drivers of innovation and development of most industrial companies. Smart, connected devices and data-driven services open unseen possibilities for transforming business models and improving efficiency.

However, unlocking the full potential of digital transformation requires organizations to build their data and integration capabilities in a future-proof manner – data must be shared and exploited seamlessly across the value chain. Data and digital are no longer just a surface on top of traditional business, but create a new foundation for future success,” says Antti Haanpää, Head of Solita Industrial, explaining Solita’s thinking.

Solita’s goal is to help increase the productivity of industrial companies and help ensure that the industry remains competitive even in a data-centric, digitalized world.

Solita’s current customers in the industrial sector include Cargotec, Kemira, KONE, Ponsse and UPM. Solita has helped KONE, for example, to build KONE’s 24/7 Connected Services preventive maintenance service which collects data from equipment, analyzes data in the cloud, and helps anticipate and prevent equipment failures. Proactive maintenance services improve equipment life and reduce maintenance costs, while giving KONE a global competitive advantage.

“Nordic and European industrial companies are forward-looking in their field in many areas, and we want to be the best in supporting the companies in their digital and data-driven transformation,” concludes Ossi Lindroos, CEO and President of Solita.
