The data and AI-driven digital transformation company Solita announced today that it is taking part in Locked Shields 2025, the world’s most advanced live-fire cyber defence exercise, led by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE).

This year’s Locked Shields exercise brings together over 4,000 cyber defence professionals from across NATO member states, academia, and the private sector to simulate large-scale, real-time cyberattacks against national critical infrastructure.

In the exercise, Solita’s role focuses on gaining practical value out of Artificial Intelligence in areas where security is a must, with a mission to support the exercise with expertise in practical, secure, ethical, and sustainable AI.

“We are honored to contribute to Locked Shields 2025 and support cross-domain resilience with our AI and digital defence capabilities. We’re proud to help shape the future of cyber resilience and defence innovation,” said Eva Sula, Head of Defence and Security at Solita.

“In times of crisis, cooperation is crucial. We’re proud to take part in this exercise, which goes beyond technology—it’s about applying cutting-edge technologies and AI in real-world conditions and sharing insights and learning together with the NATO partners,” commented Solita’s CEO Ossi Lindroos.

The Locked Shields exercise pushes defenders beyond their comfort zones, combining technical complexity with legal, strategic, and information operations under pressure. Solita’s involvement strengthens this effort with a clear goal: to ensure that AI is not just a buzzword, but a trusted and mission-enabling capability in cyber conflict and beyond.
