Ossi Lindroos as new CEO

Jari Niska to continue as a member of Solita’s board of directors

The technology, data and design company Solita has appointed Ossi Lindroos (at the right-hand side of the picture) as the next CEO of the company, effective January 1st, 2021. Jari Niska, CEO, who has been piloting Solita’s tremendous growth story for 12 years, will continue on the company’s Board of Directors and as one of the main shareholders.

“Jari has transformed Solita into one of the premier next-gen tech services businesses in Northern Europe, with a market-leading data and cloud business. He has been a great partner, and we look forward to continuing to benefit from his insights at the Board level. We are also delighted to welcome Ossi as the new CEO,” commented Mark Beith, Partner of Apax Digital. The Apax Digital Fund became the majority owner of Solita in 2018.

Ossi Lindroos has held several key leadership roles at Solita during the last 10 years. He is a member of Solita Group’s management board and is currently responsible for the company’s largest business unit, Solita Finland. Ossi Lindroos has extensive experience in managing digital businesses. He has previously led the company’s internationalisation as well as sales, marketing and consulting.

“Jari has done a tremendous job as Solita’s CEO and it is a great honor to step into his boots. Solita is just at the beginning of our story and it is great to be able to pilot the company’s next growth leap,” said Ossi Lindroos, Solita’s future CEO. “The foundation of our success is cutting-edge technology know-how and insightful design expertise combined with a humane way of leading. I take on the challenge with humility but great enthusiasm.”

Jari Niska joined the company in 2004 and has been Solita’s CEO for more than 12 years, since 2008. Solita’s growth story under his leadership has been a great Finnish success story: the company has increased its turnover from €10 million to more than €130 million and grown from a 100-person software company to an expert company with more than 1,000 employees in six countries.

“It has been a great journey and together we have made many dreams come true. It’s great to hand over the reins to Ossi, who not only knows Solita’s operations, but also loves the company, our people, and solving the challenges of our customers. Solita’s journey continues and I will continue to be involved in building the next chapter of our story in my new role and as an owner,” commented outgoing CEO Jari Niska.

Solita has continuously developed its service offering and currently serves the needs of companies’ digitisation on a large scale in areas such as software development, cloud and integration services, data analytics, service design and consulting. In addition to Finland, Solita currently operates in Sweden, Estonia, Denmark, Belgium and Germany. The company’s customers include e.g. Finnair, Fortum, The Finnish Parliament, Ponsse and UPM.
