The Art of Being Human in an Age of AI examines how we’re navigating the most significant technological revolution since the web’s creation, where our humanity has become our greatest competitive advantage. This keynote explores why, in a world of increasingly intelligent machines, the future belongs not to those who predict what’s coming, but to those who remain curious, adaptable and able to master the art of human-AI collaboration. The debate has shifted from “Should we adopt AI?” to “How do we use it intentionally to amplify our human impact whilst maintaining the trust and ethical standards required for sustainable innovation?
Our keynote, Rachel Neaman, is an influential technology leader and accomplished speaker specialising in digital transformation, leadership, skills and inclusion, and health technology. With extensive experience engaging senior audiences, she brings deep understanding of organisational complexity drawn from first-hand experience of leading through change, uncertainty and digital disruption.
Her distinguished executive career spans the private, public and not-for-profit sectors across the UK and internationally, including with the European Union and as a UK senior civil servant, where she was the first Chief Digital Officer for the Department of Health. She subsequently served as CEO of both a digital skills organisation and a research institute.
Rachel currently runs her own consultancy providing strategic advice to executives and boards, and is an ACC-accredited leadership coach. She is a Partner at Energising Leaders, a Faculty member of both Holos Change and the Public School of Technology, and a High-Risk Assurance Reviewer for the Cabinet Office’s National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority.
Her extensive non-executive portfolio includes Governor and Chair of the Digital Committee at Birkbeck, University of London, Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee of TPXImpact Plc, and former Chair and Board member of Digital Leaders.
A frequent speaker at UK and international conferences, Rachel has appeared regularly before parliamentary Select Committees and serves as a frequent judge of digital awards. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation and a Fellow of the RSA.
