The Nordic digital transformation company Solita has opened an office in Tartu and continues to grow and expand in Estonia. With an office in Tallinn and a fast-growing team of over 1,500 software development, data, and cloud professionals in Northern Europe, Solita continues to recruit IT and data specialists now also in Tartu.

Technology, data, and design company Solita has opened an office in the Estonian university city Tartu. In addition to hiring skilled specialists, Solita plans to launch Solita Academy programs for more junior specialists as well as career changers to boost its Estonian growth.

“The closeness to Tartu University makes the old cultural city especially alluring. We are planning to open Data and Development Academy in Tartu starting in autumn with great expectations. We have great experience with the high skillsets of Estonian Solitans”, said Märt Ridala, Solita’s Country Director for Estonia.

Solita continues its growth story in Northern Europe having now over 1,500 experts in six countries – Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, and Belgium. In Estonia, Solita currently employs over 30 people in Tallinn, and plans on recruiting at least ten specialists in Tartu by the end of the year.

“I am glad we have continued to execute our growth plan very successfully in Northern Europe and are becoming more well-known also in Estonia. Solita’s human-centric company culture is something our Estonian employees have appreciated highly. Taking care of our people and helping them find opportunities to grow is the key to our success”, said Solita’s CEO Ossi Lindroos.

Hybrid office life is the new normal

The Solita Tartu office reflects the modern way of working in a hybrid workmode. Solita has earlier been awarded as the employer of the year in Finland for its humane, relaxed working culture, where employees could choose hybrid ways of working already before Covid-19.

“We see the hybrid working as the new normal. Our experts can choose to work remotely, but our offices offer welcomed possibilities for meetings with colleagues to brainstorm, exchange ideas or just to get out of the home routines. For Estonians, working for Solita offers inspiring, international projects and the possibility to work with customers and teammates in other countries, also from remote offices”, said Solita’s Märt Ridala.
