We are now looking for a Data Engineer in Germany to join our fairly new team in a start-up style atmosphere with Nordic based work culture. We have offices in Munich and Berlin, and have a hybrid work type, made according to your own needs.

We have more than 200 data specialists, and our knowledge portfolio contains a variety of data-related specialisations involving data solutions in almost all technologies, both in the cloud and otherwise. As a Senior Data Engineer & Databricks Specialist, you will have these Key Responsibilities:
- Databricks Architecture & Implementation:
- Design and implement multi-hop pipeline architectures using Databricks Lakehouse.
- Optimize Apache Spark workloads for performance and scalability.
- Data Engineering & Development:
- Build robust ETL pipelines and data models using SQL and/or Python and Scala.
- Deliver production-grade solutions across multiple projects leveraging Databricks.
- Consulting & Advisory:
- Lead client workshops to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring best practices and successful delivery.
- Knowledge Transfer & Mentorship:
- Share expertise with internal teams and clients, fostering adoption of Databricks best practices.
- Develop reusable frameworks and documentation for future projects.
What do we wish for you to have?
- 4+ years in data engineering and 5+ years in consulting roles.
- Proven track record delivering 2–3 Databricks projects end-to-end.
- Deep hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Databricks.
- Familiarity with multi-hop pipeline architecture in Databricks.
- Experience with big data engines like Spark, Hadoop, Flink and Presto.
- Proficiency in SQL. Also in Python and Scala as a plus.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and whiteboarding skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- Fluent in English and in German
