Assistant Controller, Group Finance

Would you like to work in a caring culture with highly skilled talent? We’re looking for an Assistant Controller to join our Group Finance team in either Helsinki or Tampere.

As an Assistant Controller, you will work as part of our finance team handling finance tasks within group finance team. Your work includes activities related to group accounting, intra-group invoicing, contract data management, and monthly group reporting. You will contribute to accurate financial data, support monthly closing activities, and help ensure that financial processes run smoothly.

In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in finance, business stakeholders, and external partners. The role requires the ability to work independently within defined frameworks, handle routine financial processes with care and accuracy, and proactively resolve issues together with internal stakeholders.

As an Assistant Controller, Group Finance you will 

  • Be responsible for monthly intra-group invoicing of the group companies
  • Perform monthly lease accounting activities according to IFRS 16.
  • Participate in drawing up monthly Group IFRS financial reports. 
  • Participate in preparing annual statutory group financial IFRS statements and in group audit.
  • Support and coordinate the subsidiaries in their reporting and analyze numbers using both Local GAAP and IFRS frameworks. 
  • Participate in developing new concepts and processes for intra-group transactions within our ERP-tool
  • Participate in development projects to make financial processes and monthly closing more efficient with the other controlling team members.

What are we looking for in a candidate? 

  • More than 1-3 years of relevant working experience in group reporting, controlling or auditing
  • Experience of working with ERP (Workday is an advantage) and/or consolidation tools
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 
  • Strong communication and interaction skills in English, Finnish is an advantage
  • Attention to details and proactive teamwork attitude
  • Strong desire and ability for making an impact
  • Understanding consulting business is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience in IFRS is an advantage
