The Øresundsundsbro Konsortiet, the Danish-Swedish company responsible for operating the Öresund bridge, has just announced the winners of a new four-year framework agreement that will secure the company’s ongoing digital development. Solita has been selected as the supplier for integrations, with a contract value of approximately 2,4 million euros (DKK 18 million) over the next four years.
“We are proud to have won the part of Øresundsbron’s framework agreement that relates to integrations. Over the next four years, we will ensure a successful transition from Microsoft BizTalk to a new integration platform based on Microsoft technology in Azure, which will remove technical debt and enable new technological opportunities and higher security. This is a major focus area for Solita, and we see strong demand for expertise in integrations and APIs across our markets. We also have many years of solid experience in this specific area and are bringing a highly experienced team into the collaboration with Øresundsbron,” said Lise Bach Vestergaard, Senior Vice President, Sales, at Solita Denmark.
“The agile collaboration between Øresundsbron and the bidders was an important evaluation criterion in the tender. You should not underestimate the importance of close, agile collaboration between suppliers and, of course, with the customer, as it is a key part of the recipe for delivering a successful digital transformation. At the same time, this delivery is also a true cross-border collaboration between Solita A/S and our Swedish colleagues at Solita AB, who together will provide a joint team in the coming years,” she continues.
A thorough process with a strong field of suppliers
The Øresundsbron Konsortiet is excited to start the collaboration with Solita and the other suppliers under the framework agreement at the turn of the year.
“We have carried out a long and thorough tender process, and we are pleased with the great interest shown by so many bidders. We now have a mix of suppliers with different area of expertise in the framework agreement, and we look forward to starting the collaboration in January. At that point, our internal teams will meet with Solita and the other suppliers,” said Bengt Hergart, Head of Digitalisation and IT at Øresundsbron.
