The data and AI-driven technology company Solita has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS). ISO/IEC 27001 is the leading international standard for information security management to ensure effective risk management, cyber resilience, and operational excellence.

Achieving the internationally recognised ISO/IEC 27001 certification marks a major milestone in Solita’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding information assets for its customers and partners. Building on Solita’s previous security credentials as a managed services provider (MSP) certified by Microsoft and Amazon, the ISO/IEC 27001 certification extends the company’s security assurance and further demonstrates its commitment to operational excellence in information security.

The certification was granted following an independent third-party audit by Kiwa, which has also awarded Solita’s ISO 14001 environmental management system certificate.

For Solita’s customers, the certification demonstrates the company’s adherence to internationally recognised information security practices, its commitment to continuous improvement, and the capability to meet the requirements of emerging and evolving regulations such as NIS2, DORA, GDPR, and the AI Act. The ISO 27001 certification offers transparency into how Solita manages information security, thereby enabling collaboration with clients who operate in highly regulated environments.

The certification currently covers Solita’s internal operations, managed cloud services, and a model for security-critical projects. Internal operations include information technology and security, human resources, legal, finance, sales, marketing, procurement, and subcontracting functions. The project framework for security-critical projects ensures that customer projects are delivered in accordance with the requirements and controls presented in ISO/IEC 27001. Solita’s subsidiary Future Mind is also ISO 27001 certified.

“Achieving ISO/IEC 27001 certification is the result of dedicated, long-term work across our organisation. It confirms that our processes are not only robust and secure, but also built to scale and adapt as requirements evolve,” said Jyrki Eerola, Risk and Compliance Manager at Solita.

With the certification in place, Solita will continue to invest in world-class information security to support customer success and counter growing cyber threats in an increasingly digital world.
