Solita publishes comprehensive Sustainability Report for 2022

The technology, data and design company Solita has released its comprehensive Sustainability Report, highlighting its commitment to responsible business, people, and environmental sustainability. The report summarises the company’s long-term investments in sustainable growth, responsible business practices, as well as sustaining a company culture to support people’s well-being and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The report provides detailed insights into the company’s approach to sustainability. Solita has grown responsibly already for more than 25 years, committing to its people, customers, environment, and responsible business practices.

Committing to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact

Since 2019, Solita has been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact initiative, which is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. The company is committed to the initiative’s Ten Principles, which relate to human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption goals. In addition to the principles of the UN Global Compact, Solita has also made separate commitments regarding its sustainability focus areas of people, the environment and responsible business. The report gives an overview of all on-going initiatives in the different sectors.

Some of the company’s key initiatives to drive sustainability in 2022 included:

  • The company’s ESG efforts were advanced through company-wide working groups and group leadership team discussions
  • The company organised diversity and inclusion (DEI) training for all employees, and conducted a DEI study to identify areas for improvement
  • Solita obtained ISO 14001:2015 certification and calculated the carbon footprint of the company
  • Solita compensated all 2022 emissions (scopes 1, 2 and 3) that the company was unable to avoid
  • A partner screening and selection process and a quarterly monitoring mechanism were established, to ensure supply chain responsibility
  • An ethical sounding board for debating customer cases was founded
  • Regular sustainable Solita info sessions and new e-learning courses related to GDPR and confidentiality were introduced
  • Solita earned the Silver EcoVadis Medal, placing us among the top 25% of companies assessed by EcoVadis. Solita also reaffirmed its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
