Technology, data, and design company Solita will be relocating its Helsinki office at the beginning of August, moving from the corner of Eteläesplanadi to Citycenter, directly opposite the Central Railway Station. Over 550 Helsinki-based employees of the steadily growing company will move into newly renovated, tailor-made office space on the fifth floor of Citycenter.

Solita’s new 2,200 square meter office is located on a single floor in the Citycenter office complex. Situated right by the Central Railway Station, the renowned Ateneum Art Museum, the metro, and numerous nearby shopping options such as the shopping including the Citycenter and Forum shopping centers, the new office offers one of the most central locations in Helsinki. Solita’s previous office was located on Eteläesplanadi.

“Although remote work remains part of our everyday life, our centrally located Helsinki office plays a key role in fostering our sense of community, bringing Solitans and clients together in meaningful ways. We want the office to be a fun and easy place to come to. It was also important for us that our shared space is easily accessible by public transportation for both everyday convenience and environmental reasons,” said Timo Honko, Country Director of Solita Finland.

Spaces for both collaboration and focus

The Citycenter Offices property is managed by the real estate owner Sponda. The redesign of the office was led by Fyra, an internationally awarded Finnish design agency.

It’s great to have our people on one floor in such a central location, surrounded by excellent services. Our collaboration with Sponda and Fyra has been smooth and innovative.

Together with Fyra, Solita has explored the workspace needs and preferences of its employees through surveys and workshops. The new premises include more ergonomic phone booths and dedicated spaces for focused work. The single-floor layout also promotes spontaneous encounters between colleagues.

“It has been rewarding to be involved in developing Solita’s workplace concept and rolling it out across various locations. The new Helsinki office is built on good collaboration and shared understanding. This future-oriented office is designed to support Solita’s continuously evolving ways of working,” said Niina Ojutkangas, interior architect responsible for workplace development at Fyra.

“We are delighted to welcome Solita’s community of experts to Citycenter, with full-service office premises. Located in the heart of the city, this office and retail hub brings together workspaces, services, and encounters under one roof – making everyday life smoother for both tenants and their clients. With excellent public transport connections and a central location, the building is also easily accessible,” said Christian Hohenthal, CEO of Sponda.

Founded in 1996, Solita is a technology company that has seen steady growth and now has offices in ten European countries. The company currently employs over 550 professionals in the Helsinki metropolitan area, 1,200 in Finland, and more than 2,100 across Europe.
