Solita announced today the launch of a cloud service concept tailored for the financial sector. The company sees growth potential in this area both in Finland and internationally, as companies in the sector are more and more adopting public clouds to meet growing customer demands, as well as facing increasing cybersecurity threats and regulations.

Solita has introduced Solita Industry Cloud service concept for the financial sector. It offers a comprehensive solution for the secure development and production of digital services from public cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform. Solita has earlier announced the establishment of a new Solita Financial industry practice, led by Juuso Lehto.

In addition to the most trusted cloud technologies, Solita’s Financial Industry Cloud includes professional and managed services, operating models and practices following Platform Engineering approach enabling the secure and effective use of cloud platforms. As part of hybrid IT architecture, cloud platforms enable a more flexible IT architecture and faster adaptation to a changing business environment and customer needs while providing a high level of security.

Regulation compliant and cybersecure cloud

In the financial sector, business continuity and security play a critical role amid growing regulation and cyber threats. Solita’s Financial Industry Cloud services meet these requirements by providing robust data security, meeting the resilience requirements of e.g. the DORA regulation and international standards like ISO27001, and enabling clearly standardised, automated processes.

“As cyber threats become increasingly complex, it is crucial for financial institutions to be able to quickly restore their operations in the event of disruptions. Solita’s DORA-compliant Financial Industry Cloud service concept was developed to address this need, providing our clients with peace of mind and a solid foundation for business continuity,” said Juuso Lehto, who leads Solita Financial, Solita’s industry practice specialised in the financial sector.

Over the years, Solita has supported several public and private financial institutions in public cloud adoption across the EU while meeting the compliance and audit requirements set by Financial Supervisory Authorities. Based on these insights and experiences Solita has now consolidated them into a comprehensive offering.

“Solita Financial Industry Cloud is a next step in our Industry Cloud service concept family, following our previous publishment of Health Industry Cloud. While cloud providers bring the technology, our main focus is to make it usable and secure for the organisations,” said Kimmo Kekkonen, responsible for the development of Solita’s cloud services offering.

Solita’s customers include, among others, Finnish Savings Bank Group, PensionsDanmark, Skandia, Nykredit, Velliv, and S-Group. The company does not specialise in core systems for banks and insurance companies but consults its clients primarily in software development, data and AI, cloud service production, and customer experience development.

Solita will be presenting the Solita Financial Industry Cloud in the Nordic Fintech Summit 2025 in Helsinki in May 14 – May 16.
