Now operating in ten countries across Europe, Solita selects a different office location each year to serve as its Pride city. Last year, the company supported Pride in Stockholm. This year, the focus returns to its roots in Tampere.
Pride is a global human rights and cultural celebration dedicated to equality and the LGBTQ+ community, held annually around the world. In Tampere, Pride Week will take place from 9 to 15 June under the theme One Big Family. Organised by Sinuiksi ry, the Manse Pride event marks its 11th year. The celebrations will culminate on Saturday, 14 June, with a vibrant parade and a community gathering in Sorsapuisto park from 3 pm to 6 pm.
“While Pride is a great week of celebration, we remain aware of the need to continue our work towards a more equal and inclusive working life. Equality and the wellbeing of all our people is essential for the success of a growing company – top talent does not depend on gender or sexual orientation”, said Outi Sivonen, Solita’s Chief Human Resources Officer.
“Reducing prejudice and creating a more equal world requires determined efforts and empathy. By fostering a more inclusive working life, we not only support our people — we also strengthen the foundation for our long-term success as a company”, added Rea Ora, Head of Culture and Employee Experience at Solita.
Since its founding in Tampere in 1996, Solita has grown steadily and expanded internationally. Today, it employs over 2,100 professionals with over 40 nationalities across ten countries — united by shared values and a passion for creating a positive, lasting impact for people, businesses and societies in a digitalising, data-driven world.
