The AI and data transformation company Solita has been recognised as one of Finland’s most attractive employers in the Universum 2025 survey for IT professionals. For the first time, Solita reached the Top 6 in the rankings.

More than 6,300 Finnish professionals took part in the survey this year, sharing their views on employers and working life. Universum’s annual survey on professionals evaluates the awareness, attractiveness, and reputation of employers across different fields and industries.

Secret to success: Respect, well-being and work-life balance

According to IT professionals, Microsoft ranked as the most ideal employer, followed by Google in the second place. The Finnish Defense Forces held onto the third place. Solita was one of the fastest climbers, moving up four places compared to last year. Other notable risers into the IT sector’s Top 20 employers included Tietoevry, Patria, and Digia.

This year’s survey highlighted respect, well-being, and work–life balance as the most valued qualities in an employer.

“We are super happy that Solita’s long-term commitment to company culture, leadership, and continuous development is valued so highly. It is in the interest of both the employer and employees to work systematically together to improve working life for everyone. The work continues,” said Timo Honko, Executive Vice President of Solita in Finland.

Continuing to grow

Solita has continued to grow, despite the challenging tech market. Operating in ten countries, the company has earned several recognitions for its strong employer practices and was earlier selected as the third-best workplace for women in technology globally at the Women in Tech Global Awards.

Today, Solita employs more than 2,100 people, and attracts more than 30,000 applications each year. The company continues to actively recruit, for example, cloud, AI and data professionals.

“We’re honoured by this recognition from the expert community and delighted that specialists in AI, data, public cloud, and software development see us as an appealing place to work, while we keep expanding in these fields,” said Johanna Lintunen, who leads Solita’s recruitment in Finland.
