What does a Machine Learning Engineer do? 

If you're interested in becoming a Machine Learning Engineer at Solita, you'll be working to make machine learning models and algorithms as accessible as possible to customers. Your core responsibilities will involve designing and constructing production-grade platforms where machine learning models can be run efficiently, utilizing the resources and services provided by cloud vendors and automating manual tasks whenever possible. You'll be working closely with Data Scientists, who are experts in model building and algorithmics. At Solita, we're committed to delivering practical solutions that actually get used, as we believe that the true value of machine learning models lies in their ability to provide real benefits to customers and end users. As a Machine Learning Engineer, your role will be to help our customers optimize the use of AI & machine learning alongside your colleagues. What we’re looking for in a candidate? 

• You are able and interested in guiding and challenging our clients in the role of a consultant and you enjoy working as a team member 

• You understand deeply the logic and practicalities related to machine learning solutions and their development 
• You have strong experience from developing production-ready and robust ML and AI systems (including MLOps) together with, for example, Data Scientists 
• You could also have a long background in software development & devops and passion for data science projects or be a Full-stack Data Scientists with solid programming and devops skills and experience from designing & building production-grade ML solutions 
• You have strong programming skills – we usually code with Python, but R, Spark or Kava experience, for example, also provides excellent basis for success 
• You regularly utilize CI/CD and DevOps methods and tools such as Docker, Terraform, etc. 

• You have strong hands-on experience with either Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Services 
• Experience in or strong interest to learn relevant technologies and tools, such as MLFlow, Kubeflow, Seldon, Sagemaker, Databricks, etc.
