Start creating value from day one
Snowflake gives you true benefits of a SaaS solution. From day one you’ll have a data platform in your use: just create a database, schema with tables and a user to access your data using Snowflake’s browser-based UI. Everything else is taken care of.
A single platform for all your data needs
Instead of having multiple databases for different needs, Snowflake allows you to store semistructured and structured data on the same database seamlessly. Want to create a governed data lake, but you are not sure where to start? With the help of Snowflake’s external tables, you can either query your raw data directly using Snowflake’s ANSI compatible SQL or join the raw data with your already ingested data assets.
Capacity for everyone, anytime
You don’t need to worry about the capacity as Snowflake can store data beyond petabytes. As your business scales, so does Snowflake. Snowflake uses virtual warehouses as computing units which scale from extra-small to massive clusters being able to crunch any data amounts. Thanks to the workload isolation the same platform can be used simultaneously by several users without any concurrency problems. And the icing on the cake: you only pay for the each time used computing power per second based billing.
Works in every cloud and supported by hundreds of partners
Whether you’re on Amazon, Azure or Google Cloud, Snowflake works with them all and between them. You no longer need to worry about cloud-vendor lock-in as you can create Snowflake in Amazon cloud and copy your data to Microsoft Azure as a backup in case of emergency. In addition, Snowflake uses traditional JDBC and ODBC -drivers and is currently supported by all major partners.
