In this episode, Lasse and Antti speak with a colleague, Marko Taipale, Innovation Lead and Business Designer at Solita Design & Strategy.
The aim of the conversation is to answer the simple question of how to scale data, technology or software related efforts. Marko has years of experience at scaling software development in very large contexts, and it turns out that it does not differ much whether it is about software or data.
Marko talks about how high autonomy and high alignment are not mutually exclusive, and the importance of context over best practices. The discussion also goes into the downsides of “orchestrating” data management and debating whether or not compilation albums or jazz music are not a better way to approach scaling.
Data by the slice is hosted by Lasse Girs and Antti Loukiala. Read more about the podcast and all episodes here.
