Terveystalo accelerates service development with Solita CloudBlox®

Terveystalo, the largest private health care service provider in Finland, seeks to provide better health for people through new services and technology. Solita CloudBlox service allows cloud platforms to be launched in weeks

The Solita CloudBlox service provided by Solita to Terveystalo is a unique concept in both Finland and Europe. Typically, a secure and well-managed implementation of a new cloud platform takes months. The ready-made modules of the Solita CloudBlox service allow cloud platforms to be launched in a couple of weeks in an empty cloud environment. Among other things, the Solita CloudBlox provides development environment management, cloud information security, networking, and continuous services and processes ready to go. This makes the implementation of a cloud platform quick, secure, and efficient.

We couldn’t waste time with our software development, so the new cloud platform had to be managed and running to official requirements as soon as possible. Cloud management services effortlessly as a continuous service

The cooperation between Solita and Terveystalo started in November 2021 with cloud management model specification. Solita CloudBlox was installed in December, and the first development projects could be launched immediately after the turn of the year. “Solita’s role is to support Terveystalo’s application development and DevOps teams in cloud-native development work. In addition, Solita provides the cloud management solution, develops and maintains the service, and monitors for update needs and problems, allowing Terveystalo to focus on their core competencies,” says Venäläinen from Solita.

Modern cloud environment management is swift and cost-efficient

Venäläinen describes the Solita CloudBlox as the foundation of a house, allowing new floors to be built easily. A solid foundation makes it possible for customers to be up and running in a matter of weeks, and the structure can be modified along the way as desired.

“Previously, every project had to be built from the ground up from monitoring to information security mechanisms and networking. Now we’re able to offer our customers clear-cut cloud platform modules with ready-to-use specifications,” says Venäläinen.
