We are looking for new cloud, data and integration professionals with versatile backgrounds to join our growing team. You will work at our Leuven office (or remotely until Covid situation gets better) in Belgium.
We build data and integration solutions for our customers using whichever modern technology best suits their needs. Our customers, usually large international corporations, come from various industries (telecom, retail, logistics, banking etc.) and they are not afraid of trying new things with modern, cloud-native technologies.
In this role, you will be among the first to see the impact of what a modern data platform in the cloud can bring. Together we can create impact that lasts.
EXAMPLES OF OUR DATA AND INTEGRATION PROJECTS
At Nike, we are helping them to expand and optimally utilize their large and innovative data landscape. The variety of tools and scale of the company makes our wide knowledge of data a true asset. Accompanied by our strong data engineering knowledge, and analysis competencies, we present a complete service.
For DNA, we build a comprehensive data platform to enhance work for a thousand of people. The data management solution created with Solita has made DNA a true pioneer in the use of data. The cloud-based Einstein platform has reduced the turnaround time of development cycles, cutting it at best from a week to mere hours. The speed boost benefits all users.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- You will be helping our clients design and implement data pipelines and data warehousing solutions leveraging cloud-native technologies.
- Typical assignment will consist of reviewing existing solutions, implementing new pipelines or shifting existing solutions into the cloud.
In our projects, you find the right cloud solutions for our customers. You can also influence our ways of working with the cloud towards our customers. We give you both the freedom to shape the role, and also the tools you may need along the way.
You will work closely with our existing cross-border data, cloud and integration competence teams of over 600 data engineers, data scientists, integration and cloud consultants throughout our organization in both Central Europe and the Nordics.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience in building Cloud Data warehouses preferably with Snowflake or AWS Redshift
- You have solid knowledge in at least one of the following programming languages: Scala, Python, Go, Java, Shell scripting
- Database skills SQL/NoSQL
- Experience working with any AWS tools (e.g. some of S3, RDS, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Data Pipeline)
- Experience building data pipelines using ETL or metadata driven frameworks
- Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English and in one of the native languages: Dutch or French.
You have the technical expertise to personally execute the solutions you design. Here at Solita, our Cloud Engineers are working mostly in hands-on projects.
You will make us very happy if you also have a grasp of some of the following technologies and tools: Apache Hadoop & ecosystem, Data visualisation/dashboarding (Tableau), NoSQL, Apache Hive, Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, API’s, Data Pipelines, Data modelling, Data analysis, Predictive modeling or DevOps.
