If computers can think, what does it mean to be a human being in the digital age? For everyone working with technology, this is becoming an ever more crucial question.

We define humanity by the key technology of our time – no wonder we speak about ourselves and our lives with the metaphors of computers and computing today. Luckily, it looks like this view is much too limited.

A philosopher of technology and a researched by trade, Alix Rubsaam delivered the keynote speech at Solita’s Frontline Summit event. She challenged us to think what humanity really is in the age of digitalization. How can we avoid turning ourselves into computers and use technology to build better lives for all humanity?
