Remote work stories: Danilo Oliveira

We started our company-wide remote working on Friday 13th of March. A #remotework channel was created on Slack, and since then our community has been sharing tips on staying sane and funny stories from their new remote working life. We asked a few of these people to share their stories and their “new normal”.

This is Danilo´s story.

What is your role?

I’m a Senior Integration Consultant/Architect, working in the Liege area in Belgium for an insurance customer since 2014. I like the liberty of managing my own and my team’s work and provide feedback to the customer on the solutions that will be implemented.

I have joined Solita last year as part of Ferrologic and can’t wait to get more involved in the common ventures that are planned.

What’s your biggest passion(s)?

Football has to be it. Love watching it and playing it. I also like reading (mostly science fiction and fantasy), cycling (more and more), binge watching and video games.

I love working at my place surrounded by my family (although we are a noisy bunch 🙂 )  and when the weather is good, I can even take my laptop and get some work done in the backyard enjoying the sun beams, pool view and BBQ smell. And if it gets too hot, a quick dive and back to work.

What’s your most impactful experience at Solita so far?

The most impactful experience was definitely the Kick-off in January 2020 in Helsinki, as I could see the magnitude of the company with almost 1000 people present in the same room!
