IT solutions provider Solita will deliver to Veikkaus Oy a Oracle Service-Oriented Architecture Suite(SOA)-based Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solution. The aim of the new solution is to simplify the integration of separate information systems and to enable the central management of all services. Veikkaus seeks new level of agility for their services implementation
IT solutions provider Solita will deliver to Veikkaus Oy a Oracle Service-Oriented Architecture Suite(SOA)-based Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solution. The aim of the new solution is to simplify the integration of separate information systems and to enable the central management of all services. Oracle SOA Suite based solution can help create cost savings and improve the use of IT systems as a vital support to successful business.
“We decided to start investigating the option of utilizing SOA architecture and the benefits it would bring us about a year ago. Based on Solita’s survey and PoC phases we made the decision to go for an enterprice service bus solution”, says Project Manager Juha Merivirta from Veikkaus. The aim is to renew the IT architecture to better meet the business requirements – and especially to speed up the launch of new services. Veikkaus also wants to simplify the old and complicated architecture and bring a new level of agility into the organization and processes.
“We want to utilize IT systems even more effectively by making integrations easier and build new, better fitting IT systems to support our business also in the future. ESB solution acts as a platform for all internal IT services and offers also a connection interface to our game systems. Therefore it´s extremely important to build a proper documentation model and standards for the services. Solita is truly an optimal integration partner for us. They have wide experience on integration and also on Oracle SOA Suite product family on which the enterprise service bus solution is based on,” Merivirta continues.
